Chocolate Protein Mug Cake

If you're feeling like something a little sweet, without making a whole batch of naughty sugary treats, then this quick and easy mug cake is for you. Serve with some berries and Greek yoghurt for an indulgent and healthy treat.

Ingredients (Serves 1)

  • 1 scoop Mitchell's Bone Broth Chocolate Protein Powder

  • 1 Tbsp coconut flour (or other GF flour)

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 2 Tbsp cocoa or cacao powder

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/4 cup milk of choice (I used oat milk)

  • 1 Tbsp chocolate chips (optional)


  1. Grease a small cereal bowl or large deep mug and set aside.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the protein powder, coconut flour, baking powder and cocoa/cacao powder and mix well.

  3. Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and add the egg and milk and mix well to fully combine.

  4. Pour mixture into the greased bowl/mug and top with chocolate chips if using.

  5. Microwave for 60 seconds and cooking an additional 30 seconds until cooked until your liking.

  6. Serve with some berries and Greek yoghurt. Enjoy x
